About us
"McMurphy's" is a medium-sized tech company and cutting/bending tool producer based in Füssen in the wonderful "Allgäu". Our location is the perfect opportunity to benefit from the enormous tourism here. The Alps and the beautiful nature attracts tens of millions of people to this region every year. Founded in 1973 by Walter Kern, the company is now lead by the second generation, his two sons Thomas and Markus Kern. The goal of us and our 25 employees is to bring technology to the next level and shape the future of humanity!

Our Mission
In times of physical AI, miniaturization, battery technology and lightweight construction developing faster than ever, the moment for a revolution in the non-digital entertainment industry is here!
Since decades, amusement parks use the same old stiff animatronics for their attractions. Our mission is to design life-like, free walking animatronics with realistic biomechanics of existing and extinct animals, as well as exotic fantasy creatures. The most successful franchises all have one thing in common: They created fantasy worlds. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and many more.

They generated revenues of billions of dollars. Why? Because people love to dive into these fantasy worlds to escape the real world and forget all their problems for just a moment.

With "McMurphy's", we are offering these people the best attractions ever created! If they dont leave our amusement parks highly inspired with the most stunned and happy face, we are not satisfied.

"My professional career has been characterized by the development of sophisticated, cutting-edge technology. My studies in aerospace engineering gave me the necessary foundation to subsequently develop valuable practical knowledge in prototype construction. With the support of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), I was able to realize the prototype of a small, lightweight lunar rover, from the initial concept to the drivable vehicle. Later, as part of the company Atmos Space Cargo, I successfully developed a highly complex technical system for returning payloads from orbit to Earth. In spring 2025, we successfully launched the system into space on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. I now feel ready to put all my experience into building "McMurphy's" and become part of the greatest technological revolution humanity will experience in the coming years!"

"My studies in mechanical engineering led me to a position as a designer in the industry, primarily for punching and bending tools, but also for components used in motorsports. Also, I have a deep knowledge about building up reach on social media. With several channels, a total of over 40 million views, and over 150,000 subscribers, I have a lot of experience in communication and marketing. Coupled with my technical skills as an engineer, I am the ideal candidate to take over "McMurphy's" external communications and social media presence to ensure the company stays in the conversation."
